Research Analysts

Job Responsibilities

  • - To provide business units with a superior level of expertise in the area of real estate market research and analysis as required and requested.
  • - Serve as quality control auditor to ensure accuracy of reports, data and adherence to corporate standards.
  • - Assist in procuring new business through superior market knowledge and presentation.
  • - Provide market analysis for the purpose of enabling internal and external clientele to make sound real estate decisions.
  • - With direction from Senior Associate, is responsible for the generation and compilation of all quarterly market statistics
  • - Interact with and directly coordinate communication to all business units
  • - Participate in design and development of new or enhanced products and services
  • - Analyze both historical and future proprietary market data
  • - Assist in forecasting and providing detailed economic outlook information for internal and external clients
  • - Produce and compile market information for quarterly reports, and local and national projects and reports.
  • - Serve as local expert on regional and national research capabilities
  • - Compile, coordinate and distribute lease and sale comparable information
  • - Responsible for total quality control of products/services
  • - Oversee Research data on our website and market research information in relation to accuracy and timeliness of deliverables
  • - Maintains historical archives of building data and market/submarket statistics
  • - Train and orient core business units and administrative assistants on Research products, databases and services
  • - Actively participate in the development, marketing and enhancement of proprietary database to internal clients
  • - Assist in identifying and targeting new market trends for branch relations, publications, etc.
  • - Interacts with Chambers of Commerce, Economic Development, state and local government planning entities

 

Job Requirements

  • - BA/ BS Degree
  • - 2 - 3 years of research-related experience required (preferably in real estate industry)
  • - Ability to work independently on assigned projects
  • - Ability to efficiently perform tasks and demonstrate a high level of proficiency in all related software
  • - Preparation of ledgers and calculation of absorption in order to track and follow market demand for office and industrial space accurately on a quarterly basis
  • - Superior knowledge of commercial real estate terms and definitions
  • - Excellent understanding of statistical complexities involved in correctly reporting vacancy rates, absorption, construction, rliental rates, leasing, sales activity, renovation and proposed activity
  • - Enhanced analytical skills with respect to the real estate market including: market reports, requests-for-proposals, etc.
  • - Proficiency in the sophisticated proprietary database relative to input and output
